When I Trust in the Lord


When I trust in the Lord, icy fears dissolve,
Melt into the sea of tranquility.
For fear can not stand in the midst of God's hand
And retain its chilly hostility.

God desires that we not be frozen in fear,
For all our fear dissipates in God's love.
God's peace thaws the cold that imprisons our soul
As we do bask in warm "Sonshine" above.

Our fear can not exist where God's love persist,
For the two can not reside side by side;
So let faith infill and my soul remain still
As I rest safely, in His hand abide.
