Christmas Prayer

 Lord Jesus

 We gather together today to celebrate the greatest thing that ever happend to mankind. We may never fully comprehend Your coming into the world for us, but we do understand that it was in love, a love from the Father that is like no other. Be with us as we celebrate this time, Christmas is You and You are Christmas. We love You, our hearts should leap at the sound of Your name as the baby did in Elizabeth. You came from glory and humbled Yourself taking on the form of a servant, being born in human likeness. You came that we may no longer be separated from the Father. You came to us as the greatest Gift of all time. You are the Light that shines in the darkness. You are the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. You are the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. You are the Babe lying in a manger. You are the blessed Redeemer who saved a man even while dying on the cross. We celebrate Your birth today, and the birth of our freedom from sin through You.  Please bless us this day and the coming year. Help us to remember that no matter what, You are to be the center of our lives always and in everything we do.
