Abba Father

Abba, my Father, I no longer am crawling
Do You see how much I have grown?
Father please help me and keep me from falling
And never leave me all alone

You watch and protect me while I am sleeping
I always know You are there
And should I awake frightened and weeping
Warmth and comfort You always will share

My Father, now what do I do?
For I have grown into a young man
The world outside is exciting and new
Share with me my life’s special plan

Mold me and use me, show me the way
Keep me from evil and do not let go
Teach me and guide me, let me not stray
If I anger You, please let me know

Father you have seen how my life has been
And now near the end of the road 
I have tried to stay true and be without sin
But the wrongs of my life a great load

Still my hope and desire is to meet face to face
For no man can keep us apart
Abba dear Father please save me a place
Like the one I saved You in my heart
