I Can See

The sunset today was like
A painting in the sky
I wonder how it can be
How can anyone deny

 
I heard a man speak
They say he should know
We evolved from apes he claimed
Science says so

 
The bitter atheists say
Take God out of our schools
Do they not understand
Or are they just fools?

 
Lord how can people still be
So blind through the years?
What are they afraid of
Why the doubts and the fears?

 
How can someone as stubborn as I
See You, feel You and know You are there?
Am I that close
A little more You will share?

 
Or is it because I carry a gift 
The Savior who dwells in my heart
Does this make You love me more
Does this set me apart?

Is this how I can see
Through eyes that are clear
And not clouded by man
Your love, love so dear?

 
I am no better than they
Who refuse to see.
I have just made a choice
For eternity

 
Now tell me Lord God
How do I share what I know
With others around me
And where do I go?
