Through the Storms

Through the many storms ....America has firmly stood,
Though she stands strong...It is not on her own.
There is one above in whom we trust.
There is 'One God' to whom we belong.

Attacks of an enemy did not defeat our land
When upon our Lord we called;
He was there through strong winds and the fiery trials.
He brought peace in the midst and we did not fall.

Though rumors of war may shake our Nation's peace,
We have one who can calm every Storm,
We look to the Savior who can make the winds cease,
And keep us safe from all fear or harm.

Through the years......we have stood,
As we trust in Jesus.....Lord over all,
We remain indivisible if we stay a Nation "under God",
And never forget ....He is the one on whom we must call.

Through all the storms our Country has been through,
We stood strong because God was faithful and true
There is no other who can speak peace,
And make the storms of this life cease.

Though the lightning may flash and the thunder may roar,
We have a place we can hide,
We can rise above the winds and like an eagle we can soar,
To rest safe when in God we trust and abide.

"Through the storms He will keep us safe from harm."

                    Through The Storms

America is a great Nation who has stood in times of war and attack. America has been blessed and is called the "land of plenty." We will continue to stand if we humble ourselves and look to God as we seek his face in repentance and prayer for our Country.

The reason our Nation has stood in the midst of each storm is because of the prayers of God's people and a remnant of those who know we must look to God and let him be the "Lord" of our Nation. We are told that "blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord."

There are many who have made other "gods" their idols. The love of money is the root of all evil. People today seek power, prestige, and the things which money can buy and put these things above love for the Lord. God has been with us through each trial and through these things has shown us that we must depend on him.

No matter how safe a Nation may feel, they have no real safety outside of the protection and power of our God. All the dollars spent on national security cannot replace the security which only God can give. All things are in his hands, and only by trusting in Him are we really secure. Though we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we are to fear no evil as He will be there with us.

We know there will be schemes and plans against our Country, but we also know that we can claim "no weapon formed against us shall prosper," (if)....we walk according to the will of the Lord. We see the Statue of Liberty still standing strong with freedom's torch, but by faith we see our Lord who holds the only true answer for freedom. He stands knocking at heart's doors this day, and will be Lord to all who will receive him. We can have a peace that passes our understanding as we rest in God who understands our every thought.

Through the storms we can continue to stand strong if we hold firmly to the Savior's hand. He will lead the way as we seek him and pray. We must remain one Nation "under God" in this land we now trod. Thanks to a God who gives peace. He has made a way for us and will keep us in the palm of his hand until the day he calls us home to the promised land! He will see us through the storms. Jesus is Lord of all!
