any man can be a father
but it takes someone
very special to be
"DADDY"

What Makes a Dad?

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of all ages,
The power of the eagles' flight,
The joy of a morning in Spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity, and
The depth of a family need.

Then God combined these qualities.
And when there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it - DAD!

The Bible has much to say
concerning our FATHERS and
our relationship with them ...

~ Soloman gives us instruction in the Proverbs ~

Proverbs 1:8
"My son, hear the instruction of thy FATHER,
and forsake not the law of thy mother"

Proverbs 13:1
"A wise son heareth his FATHER's instruction:
but a scorner heareth not rebuke"

Proverbs 4:1
"Hear, ye children, the instruction of a FATHER,
and attend to know understanding"

~ In Ephesians 1:2-3 we find advice to children ~

      1. "Honor thy FATHER and mother; which is the
        first commandment with promise;
      2. That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest
        live long on the earth."

No matter who your father is, God choose him for you ...

1 Thessalonians 5:18
"In everything give thanks:
for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you."
