   Thank you my Lord for Thy strength and love, For Jesus who is from Thee up there above, He is my salvation, my strength and my shield, For it’s through He, whom my heart has come to yield. He will ever be with me, my guide and light to cope, Without reservations, this Savior is my shield of hope, He cometh unto me at a very needy time in my life, Surely knowing all the useless things of worldly strife. Knowing my need as He doth all others to, I’m sure, He is the only one who can save us, through His blood so pure, He knocks on our hearts door again and again, I know, For He want’s all to be with Him in that beautiful Heavenly glow. He died the death on the old cross, went into Hades and took the keys, From Satan and his angels, our souls to truly appease, For He really is our Knight in shining armor, ready to yield, His love and strength forever, being our Holy shield. I look at the stars at night or the old moon above and know, This Lord of mine put all these things in our path to show; He’s a living miracle of God, born of a virgin birth one day, Coming to earth to be our shield and show us the righteous way.
